Erasmus+ | Towards E-learning: Online Course Development

Cyprus Erasmus kurz Olga

I am deeply convinced that permanent professional development is an essential part of a successful teaching career and a great benefit for students. For a teacher, it is also crucial to keep abreast of changes in methodology, follow new trends and implement innovations. Therefore, I decided to take part in the Erasmus+ training course titled “Towards E-learning: online course development” that took place in Limassol, Cyprus from 25th until 29th April 2022. There were participants from 5 different countries: Slovakia, Belgium, Hungary, Poland, and Lithuania.

The seminar consisted of 25 hours of theory and practice. During the course, I raised awareness of technological development in teaching and learning, improved my personal and professional skills in teaching in the online learning environment, improved my knowledge about online course development, enhanced my skills, and gained tools to incorporate online courses into everyday teaching, Furthermore, I identified the most suitable approaches in the use of online learning courses. The most interesting and effective part of this course was the outdoor practice when we were supposed to record videos and communicate with people outside in order to explore potential customers’ needs and concerns about online courses.

I think the main targets of the course were successfully met. I gained a range of tools for online teaching, exchanged invaluable experience and ideas with colleagues from different countries, expand network, and obtained inspiration for my future teaching career.
