INTERNATIONAL HOUSE BRATISLAVA  is a specialist in Cambridge examinations and it is an open examination centre for Slovak Republic. It has a team of quality teachers and examiners who have extensive experience with exams and preparation for them.


OFFER TO SCHOOLS
Information on exams, consutations for teachers, mock exams, preparation courses for students.


FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
There are short preparation courses for all YLE available (Cambridge Young Learners English Tests), and KET and PET for Schools.


FOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS
We recommend preparation for exams PET, FCE and CAE which  are recognized by the Ministry of Education since the 15th June, Civil Code no. 269/2009 as an alternative to Maturita exam in English.
Schools specialising in management or business can offer their students one of BEC exams (Business English Certificate).


ADVANTAGES

  • Preparation for the exam does not interfere to the school curriculum, we offer only the preparation for the exam and we teach exam techniques to the students who are interested in taking the exam.
  • Schools will gain more successful students for international exams without increasing the demands for their own tuition or personnel. We will provide a complex administrative service connected to registration and payment for the courses or exams. 
  • Students can use Cambridge ESOL certificates, that are listed in the public notice of the Ministry of Education no.269/2009, as an alternative to Maturita exam in English.
  • Schools will provide their own students with a more complex offer in the field of language education and they will become more attractive for current as well as new students.


COURSE COVERAGE
Courses are exclusively intended for preparation for the exam according to the students‘  level. They are not intended to improve language skills primarily (students learn them at their schools).


TYPES OF COURSES

  • Short preparatory tests with feedback: 4 to 10 lessons for getting acqainted with the format of the exam, mock exams, consultations with an expert and recommendation for the suitability of the exam chosen by the student.
  • Semestrial or annual preparation courses: the duration depends on the entry language level of the students. Complete preparation for the exam takes 2 or 4 lessons a week. The tuition of language and language techniques, 3 mock exams and finally the feedback from an expert.
  • Tuition according to the individual requests of schools
  • E-learning preparation for the exam


VENUE FOR THE TUITION OF COURSES
Courses can be taught on our premisies or in particular elementary / secondary schools.
